EVENT RELEASE: The Imara Fundraising Gig 2017

Today we officially released our first event in the series of fundraising activities for our Sanctuary Space Project crowdfunding campaign! So, now’s the time to tell you that we’ll be kicking it all off with a big music event at The Maze on the 9th September! We’ve managed to get together a great bunch of local musicians and performers doing everything from singing and cabaret to juggling fire! Here’s your official invite:

Can’t make it? You can still buy raffle tickets online to be entered into the raffle on the night and we’ll email you to let you know if you’ve won! Tickets only £2 each and there are some very exciting prizes to be had, including a FitBit, ice cream maker and tickets to watch Beauty and the Beast at the Theatre Royal!

We’ve scoured the local area to find the best acts Nottingham has to offer, and the night will feature performances from an eclectic mix of local acts including…

Rhythmical Mike: Poetry & spoken word artist from Derbyshire, UK, covering topics including mental health, society, government, activism, connection, change and corruption.

The Jellyfish Are Calling: A new, young band from Nottingham, playing fresh alternative and punk tracks. They recently finished as runners up in Noise From The Next Generation, a live music competition to find the best young musicians Nottingham has to offer

The night will also feature music from local solo artists Louis and Shaman Erginer

We also have cabaret and burlesque from a variety of performers, including Maxima Bunting, Sue Larue, Pete Lynn, Alabama Boom, Andy Holdsworth and Steph Selby. Expect singing, dancing, fire, juggling, comedy and a whole lot more!
